최근 전주MBC 프로그램을 통해 소개된 쿠살 학생은 예원예술대학교에서 '글로벌문화경영'을 전공하며 한국의 언어와 문화를 심도 있게 배우고 있다. 네팔 카트만두에서 대학을 다니다 한국 유학을 결심한 그는 한국을 "자신의 꿈을 펼칠 수 있는 기회의 땅"으로 여기며 학업에 매진하고 있다

■ 전공 지식과 실전 경험을 결합한 '글로벌 인재'로 성장 

쿠살 학생은 예원예술대에서의 학업뿐만 아니라 방학 기간을 활용해 지역 식당에서 아르바이트를 하며 한국인의 삶과 문화를 직접 체험하고 있다. 그는 "아르바이트를 통해 다양한 사람들을 만나고 한국말과 문화를 생생하게 배울 수 있어 좋다"며 예원예술대에서 배운 글로벌 마인드를 실천에 옮기고 있다.

■ 사촌 동생 및 친구들과 함께하는 '함께 성장하는 캠퍼스

' 예원예술대학교의 따뜻한 교육 환경은 쿠살 학생뿐만 아니라 그의 사촌 동생 산지부(Sanjiv)와 동료 유학생들에게도 큰 힘이 되고 있다. 쿠살 학생은 기숙사에서 친구들의 한국어 공부를 돕고 한국의 예절 문화를 가르치는 등 리더십을 발휘하며, 유학생 공동체의 핵심 역할을 수행하고 있다

어린 시절부터 한국 웹툰과 드라마를 통해 한국어 독학을 해온 쿠살 학생은 독학이라고 믿기 힘든 수준 높은 그림 실력을 갖추고 있다 . 

그는 최근 부안의 메타버스 체험관을 방문하여 가상 현실(VR) 기술을 접하며 디지털 콘텐츠 분야에 대한 시야를 넓히기도 했다. 이는 예원예술대학교가 추구하는 예술과 경영, 기술의 융복합 교육 방향과도 맞닿아 있다.

쿠살 학생은 인터뷰를 통해 "예원예술대학교에서 공부하며 미래를 설계하고, 자신을 발전시켜 좋은 미래를 만들고 싶다"는 포부를 밝혔다

Having moved from Kathmandu, Nepal, to pursue his studies, Kushal describes Korea as "a land of opportunity to unfold my dreams" and is dedicated to his academic growth.

■ Growing as a 'Global Talent' through Academic Knowledge and Practical Experience In addition to his studies at Yewon Arts University, Kushal is utilizing his winter break to work part-time at a local restaurant, gaining first-hand experience of Korean life. "Working part-time allows me to meet various people and learn the Korean language and culture vividly," says Kushal, putting into practice the global mindset he cultivated at the university.

■ A 'Co-growing Campus' with Family and Friends The supportive educational environment of Yewon Arts University has been a pillar of strength not only for Kushal but also for his cousin Sanjiv and fellow international students. Kushal plays a pivotal role in the international student community by leading Korean language study sessions in the dormitory and teaching Korean etiquette to his peers.

■ Designing the Future by Integrating Artistic Talent and IT Technology Having taught himself Korean through webtoons and dramas since childhood, Kushal possesses impressive drawing skills. Recently, he visited a Metaverse experience center in Buan to explore Virtual Reality (VR) technology, expanding his horizons in the digital content field. This aligns perfectly with Yewon Arts University’s educational focus on the convergence of arts, management, and technology.

In a recent interview, Kushal shared his ambitions, stating, "I want to design my future while studying at Yewon Arts University, develop myself, and create a bright career path."
